In 2022, France will host for the first time in history, the 3 UCI World Championships : BMX, MTB and Track in the same country, in the same year. This is an opportunity to make French cycling shine at world level and to showcase our know-how in organizing major sporting events.
On the program:
– The BMX World Championships in Nantes from July 26 to 31
– The Mountain Bike World Championships in Les Gets from August 24 to 28
– The Track World Championships in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines from October 12 to 16
France hosted these championships in 1999 & 2005 for BMX, in 1993 & 2004 for MTB and in 1998, 2006 and 2015 for Track.
Under the aegis of the FFC and local Organizing Committees, the label “Terre de vélo 2022” was created to associate these great cycling events with the general public and cycling enthusiasts in France and abroad.
