Just a few days before the 2022 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, which will be held from 24 to 28 August 2022 in Les Gets, here is all the practical information and good tips for an exceptional week of mountain bike competitions, events and FUN in Les Gets!
The 2022 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Les Gets are FREE and OPEN TO ALL.
You are free to attend the races and events scheduled throughout the week in the resort, respecting the access zones and safety instructions in the resort and along the slopes.
Only the VIP areas and access to the Bikepark are subject to a charge.
Les Gets resort is easily accessible. It is 55 km from Geneva international airport (1h15 drive), 25 km from the A40 motorway and 22 km from Cluses railway station.
Once there, leave your car in one of the car parks provided and move around freely on foot, by bike, by small train, by shuttle bus or by GetsLib’.
To facilitate your travel to/from Les Gets and within the resort, we have set up a free shuttle service.

Shuttles in Les Gets
The two regular lines A and B serve the village and its hamlets 7 days a week from 8.45am to 7pm (with a one hour break for lunch). Rotation every 45 mn.
🚌 Where is the bus? Shuttles can be located in real time on the PYSAE application. As the “classic” timetables cannot be respected during the event, we strongly advise you to use PYSAE to know where they are.
Stops not served:
During the event, the routes of the shuttle and tourist train lines are modified:
❌ Stops “8. Grange neuve”, “9. TC Chavannes” and “1. TC Mt-Chéry” will not be served
✅ A new stop is created at the bus station on the Route des Grande Alpes to serve the village centre.
Shuttle Les Gets < > Morzine
From Friday 26th to Sunday 28th August included, a free shuttle will run non-stop from a car park in Morzine and a stop in the centre of Morzine to Les Gets (different times each day). In Les Gets the shuttle bus will stop at the Colombière roundabout at the Morzine entrance to the village (see village map).

Areas reserved for the public have been set up along the DHI, XCO and EMTB tracks to allow you to experience the races as closely as possible to the riders. Thank you in advance for respecting the access zones and the safety instructions around the tracks ‼️ (see below).
You can access the slope areas on foot or by using the ski lifts.

Mont Chéry gondola & La pointe chairlift
The gondola lift will be accessible to pedestrians on both the way up and down, and provides access to the DHI FAN ZONE. La pointe chairlift will be accessible to pedestrians on the way up only.
Return fare gondola + chairlift :
– 7.5€/ADULT,
– 5.5€/CHILD (5 to 15 years old),
– 6.5€/YOUTH (16 to 25 years old),
– 6.5€/SENIOR (65+)

Chavannes chairlift
The Chavannes chairlift is accessible to pedestrians only.
Prices (one way) :
– 6€/ADULT,
– 4€/CHILD (5 to 15 years old),

– SENIOR (65 years and over).
Chavannes cable car
The gondola will be exceptionally open and accessible to pedestrians only, both up and down, on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 August. Free access.

Access: take the Mont Chéry cable car. Follow the signs to reach the fans zone on foot.
🔥 XCO/EMTB FANS ZONE
📍Behind the municipal school, at the Lac des Ecoles
📅 Friday 26/08 and Sunday 28/08 all day
Access: you can reach the fans zone on foot from the centre of the village (15 min walk) or with the free shuttle buses going up to the lake.

During the World Championships, Les Gets Bikepark will be open, except for the Mont Chéry sector and the four-cross. A detour will be set up to go back down to the centre.

Please respect the following safety instructions to ensure the smooth running of the competitions:
- Respect the areas reserved for the public and do not go into the safety lanes (B zone) on either side of the pistes.
- Use the gates/passageways set up by the organisation and do not cross the tracks unauthorisedly.
- Keep your dog on a lead at all times in the vicinity of the pistes.
- Due to the drought and the risk of fire, it is forbidden (by prefectural decree) to smoke in the woods, forests and mountain pastures of the Haute Savoie Department.
- Marshals will be present along the slopes to guide you and ensure that these measures are respected.
